We started out as a national motor company established in 1974, the main activity of which was cargo transportation. In 1992 after privatisation, the company was reorganised into UAB Skuba. The company changed its activity sphere, i.e. previously a transport company which had over 500 vehicles at one time, it was reconstructed into a company which traded in parts for trucks — new RENAULT and all makes of second-hand trucks in Lithuania, Estonia and Russia— and performed repair works and technical maintenance of tows, trailers and semi-trailers. Now Skuba is a group of companies with its main office in Vilnius. Secondary companies are based in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Marijampolė, Utena, Riga with a subsidiary in Rezekne and Liepaja (Latvia), Tallinn with a subsidiary in Tartu and Parnu (Estonia), Helsinki with a subsidiary in Tampere and Turku (Finland), Warsaw with a subsidiary in Katowice, Lodz, Poznan, Vroclav, Kalish, Grodzisk Mazowiecki (Poland), Kaliningrad (Russia), Bucharest with a subsidiary in Cluj Napoca (Romania), Budapest with a subsidiary in Debrecen (Hungary), Bratislava (Slovakia), Prague (Czech Republic) and Sofia (Bulgaria). |
